Project Objectives

Project Development Objective

The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to enhance pastoralists' access to financial services for drought risk mitigation, include them in the value chains, and facilitate the livestock trade in the Horn of Africa. The specific project objectives are

1. to protect pastoral economies against drought risk, increase financial inclusion of pastoralists and better connect the pastoralist to markets         and
2. to facilitate livestock trade across the HoA countries and upgrade livestock value chain by mobilizing private investments.
